argh. im jealous of that aircon (hotcon) that the neighbour downstairs is using. im freezing up here!!

im cold. they turned off the heater yesterday morning, and now i'm back go wrapping like a ba zang at home. no more shorts and tees. and i've been sneezing countless number of times since yesterday. i didn't expect the end of winter to be as torturous as the start of winter. the temps in the day may be as high as 14, but it drops to almost 0 in the wee hours. if not for the green grass that have started to grow and the insect that is irritating me in the room, i wont have thought this is the start of my very cold spring. brrrr.


ok... i've decided to agree with sis, this is really nice :) except i still think i dont like the sound of the voice. hm.. something which is less high pitch and less hokkien-ish sounding would be even more soothing.

i've been wanting to read this book for a long time, but every time i pass by a bookstore, i'll 嫌 it too expensive. i'll seriously consider getting it if i ever see it selling in wangfujing bookstore.

no, i didn't change the lighting functions of my camera. i think i prefer snow to sand. but i definitely like this temperature better.


and so on my way home from the hospital today, i followed what the locals do. my peripheral views were blocked totally, and i had to turn 90deg to the left and right when i crossed the road. at least i'm not as kua zhang as some of them. hahaha u would haf mistaken them for masked robbers.
but in my opinion, the best attire to beat the sandstorm is.....

so today, we had a short 'internship' at the infectious department, or what we call the 发热门诊. nobody warned us we were going to have to endure the cold in the open areas. and so all we wore was a thin piece of top beneath our white robes. urgh. and worst still, had to take off our robes out in the open before we could enter the doc's pantry.. for lessons. and then.. we dressed up in the disposables against sand.. just kidding.. viruses and bacterias. haha.

if my sista is wondering why i've been blogging so often these days, its becuz im bored at home, but life in beijing has been a little bit more... interesting and happy. :)

these days i've been trying means and ways to recycle and clear the amount of trash that has been building up in my cupboard. because i simply have no more space for them, and too wasteful to discard. so heres my newest DIY items that i've made.

a handphone seat. using coke bottle, bubble wrap, cloth and a rubber band. too lazy to sew the cloth hahaha. a rubber band would make everything easier for a lazy bum like me.

a box for all my accessories. using the cardboard that came with the calendar that xpys gave me last dec, and the top of a coke bottle.

excess pvc wrapper for the textbooks made into a storage thingy for my earrings and necklaces! whee.. now they'll be hidden away from all that dust.

ok what next should i do?



oh, and i've been loving the pink bling bling bag holder that olivia bought for me from japan. saves me plenty of space.


things have been falling apart in my room. like the hook, for hanging my sling bag, that won't stay on the wall, the huge 1 that holds up my clothes line (i gave up on the 3M hook, and resort to tying the string to the curtain bar, dad), the nail clipper, the wireless internet connection (which i haf since decided running cable would be a better long term idea than having to reset the router 10 over times with every strong wind that blows, and letting the whole house feel the frustrations from that stupid TP Link), the humidifier that wont stop screeching when i turn it on, and my pepsi-cola alarm clock that rings 45 minutes late!! perhaps its giving me an opportunity to add another winnie the pooh collection soon. =p

oh, and the other day i looked up to the ceiling, i found cracks. oh gosh. i never knew contraction and expansion due to the change in humidity and temps were so bad. cards, letters and posters that i paste on the wall are just falling off occasionally too.

went on a short shopping spree at carrefour today. the whole world seemed to be out of their homes today, in the nice weather of 14degC, and no sandstorm. every1 was rushing to get their groceries, fly kites, frisbee-ing, exercising. i like the weather too. no hats, mufflers, ear muffs or gloves required. :) ah.. but i guess yesterday's sandstorm won't be the last that we see of. masks are a sure thing next. its going to blow again tmr.

and so our kite flying plan is shelved indefinitely.
but not in a mood to head to my textbooks.

i was trimming my toe nails while watching some videos online when there came a big 'crack' sound. oh shit... i broke my nail.... clipper. i broke METAL! my big toe nail (the 1 with the big black blood clot in it) put up with such resistance that my clipper couldn't tahan it... or issit i added too much newtons?

oh whatever. i'm now half done and can't continue with it till i get a new 1 tmr.

i saw something very very very interesting on this social networking website called facebook.. and went OH AM GEE out loud. so interesting.

despite the horrible throat i'm having, my mood hasn't been dampen these days. seeing i've been on blogspot for a couple of times a day already :) and i've broken record to sleep before the next day last night. and even earlier than all my housemates. i think i need more rest now too.

can any1 tell me what the hell this is? because this is what i'm seeing through my windows tonight again. ok except the last one on the right issin't working today. why doesn't my block has such pretty lights as well!

i've traded my winnie the pooh skin for the new one. since winter is now almost over and sis kindly offered to help me (in fact she was the 1 who psyco-ed me to do so). and every blogskin is my favourite. and waiting for my lovely sister to help me refine everything. i would never have known how outdated it was, with all the broken links and erms.. things that do not define me anymore. the new template issn't any more mature, but i like how it resembles the little prince :) heres a *muacks* to my sis!

nonetheless, i'm not loving the silly old bear any less... in fact i've added 2 new items to my Pooh collection. :)))

my 1st ever proper kite, which we're all going to fly come this saturday. i'll tell you if it really flies.

weather is turning warmer. temps going up above 0. and i'm starting to sweat underneath my 风衣 (my autumn wear) but i'm not complaining. it rox to feel the heat from the sun. and upcoming visits in april and june definitely lifts my spirits. even if its just one day.

only after coming to beijing did i learn that snow happens in autumn and spring.

updates updates! so the jie jie-who-miss-me-so-much-back-at-home can know what i've been doing these days. haha. im just bored on this non-school day.

the first few days involved cleaning, washing, and touring.
the bird's nest, ice cube, and chocolate wonderland. we went on a day trip tour. taking lots of pictures.

haha. we're back in winter!

the ice cube looks really pretty after dusk falls.. the fountain is fake.

china lifted the ban on fireworks and firecrackers a while ago, so it has been bombing everywhere since the day we reached. things got pretty bad or exciting on the 15th day of cny. it was bombing every second, everywhere, behind every building, in every window's view. it was distracting.

at the small park near our block, there was a constant flow of groups going there to play. we spent some small amt on a once-in-a-life-time experience ourselves. but of course, it was great that every1 else was blowing up the gun powder in full view for us =)) oh and it snowed. snow fight + fireworks = freezing fun.

and our supper - tang yuans, smelly beancurds, birdnest?, and some mushrooms, quil eggs provided by the housemate's family :) yes this house eats smelly toufu.
