Life is beautiful

today's test was really horrible. maybe i really havent been studying hard enough. but im sure i tried. anw, its time to look forward to cny =)) but i really muz start studying pharmaco!

today some of us went for retail therapy @ the career fair in school. translates into free notbooks, highlighters, pens, post-its, weekly planner =p hahahaha. and we had to pretend to be really interested. anw, the shell people arnt too frenly. next time dont top up ur petrols there! the samsung guy was farnie though. wanted to collect back our freebies the moment he hear our course of study. haha. anw, after walking round so many booths, there arn't really a lot of potential employers we can look to. like wad else but dsta, astar etc only. not much options for us right now. but hopefully they'll knock on our doors next time instead of the other way round =)

these days ive been deprived of sleep. staying up too late, and i try my very best not to fall asleep during lessons. and i think my limit is 6 hours of lectures. i really cant stay awake at any biomed classes at all. at least chinese classes can keep me awake with all the writings, and laoshi's constant questioning.

anw our life in sch has been quite happening.. there was once all 6 of us played truth or dare in the laboratory while awaiting for the results (anw there was none... they had insufficient materials and probably lousy cultures as well... so much for sacrificing the mice). and then another day we'll haf picnic with hp's korean nian gao. and then we'll forever be the noisy pple in class. the other 60+ pple will be mugging away lol.

1 of our lecturer had been telling us about the experiments that she did when she was doing her phd. its super gross to know the kind of torture they put the animals through. i wonder how much results do the scientist (and many other students all over the world) gain and put it to useful purposes while sacrificing the rabbits, mice, guinea pigs. super cruel. im thinking twice about gg into research.

and i saw a lost dog near our hse last week. poor thing.

the other day my 17 yr old cousin was asking me how old i am this yr. and when i told him how old i would be turning this year he gave me a shock look. and i was psyco-ing him to go jc hahaha. but given the same choice again, i guess i'll still go jc. anw, they no longer give the raw score for o'level results animore. all the cut off points are included. and aj is now ranked 7 according to the entry point in the jae booklet. not tt bad.. i thot it dropped drastically till 10++ or smth. lol.

a lot of distractions this week i cant progress well with my fang ji xue =((

today was the 2nd time of our intern. there were so many patients this time round.. and i think im immune to seeing cancer patients. practically every1 of them had cancer, still having cancer, and cancer still spreading. and many of them barely in their old age.

and im crossing my fingers i can get to eat blueberry chocholate cake this yr.

what can be more important than health itself. sometimes we have taken for granted how healthy we are. and sometimes we have forgotten to count our blessings. sometimes we walk too fast, we overlook the people around us. sometimes we care too much about material stuffs.




yesterday i slept super early!! at 11++ had 7 hours of sleep =)) (though the rest of them still argues tt my 7 hrs is too little) my 1st time during sch hahaha and im feeling a lot better today. as i was telling the rest 2mr i'll recover. hahaha. (ya rite.. prolly needing a few more packets of tissue paper). and so today i shall try my very best to catch up with fang ji. suddenly i feel a lot more motivated. there muz always be something for me to compare with, so i dont feel tt studying is tt hard. and so now i say, how painful & terrible can studying fang ji be? theres more horrible things out there which can happen.

feeeling awwwfulll. =((((( with every different fang ji i try to read, i keep thinking tt i need to drink tt cuz of the symptoms im having hahaha. somebody pls juz knock me out... its sooo terrible. and im gg to try not to take antibiotics. and maybe i'll lose 1 kg to this flu.

test next week =(((( another test next next next week =(((( tt makes it tests b4 and after cny ='(((((((((((((

and i really hate immuno lectures. why cant they get some1 w/o accent to give the lecture? i feel like im really gg to fail this sub.

im progressing very slow with my work =(( and the tests are coming up.

had intern yesterday. was quite fun except our group didn't get to feel the patient's pulse. but some of the patient's sickness were quite shocking. and there were too little patients available for us to 'view' in the kidney specialist clinic. we only saw 3 of them.. n tts probably becuz our doc is no longer a regular. and so most of the time we were talking to the doc instead. and she was telling us the interesting way they work, for eg, how they buy time by feeling the patient's pulse to think about the prescription to give lol. anw i really lurve their computer system.. all the different fang ji is stored inside, so if they forget the combination of the herbs they can juz use tt add-drop function =))) if only exams we can do tt too. come to think of it, this is one of the rare times i get to see a real qualified tcm doc. and i got a feeling some which i saw were bogus. haha.

there was a nice clash in timetable today =)) im actually quite glad it happened haha cuz i really hate wet labs. i seem to be losing interest in biomed.

looong hours of lectures everyday is draining!

haha my cousin insisted her teacher taught the class, 'This is a pledge flag.' when a sg flag was shown in the picture. hmm. and i kindly told her the teachers are not always right hahahaha. (although i knew she probably heard wrongly in class heh.) after all, its so easy to become 1 right. =p no?

ive been pushing back my studying =p. i juz cant sit down & memorise my fang ji argh.

and i want to donate too...

and only when help is needed. tts very true. and perhaps tts why some pple are not worth my time to keep in contact with.

i cant concentrate on my studying =( the tv is distracting lol.

this happened to me many times on the train; whenever im super tired, carrying heavy loads, sick and found a seat on the train, i'll quietly hope that no pregnant women, old ladies, old men, or whoever who 'needs a seat more than you do' person appears in front of my eyes. but everytime, it'll juz happen. and it happens 1-2 stops after i settle down. so some1 up there is trying to tell me not to be selfish. next time i shall not be tired, carry really heavy stuffs and fall sick when i take the trains then i wont haf such a problem. lol.

m keboad has been iin me seious poblems. i ou can make out wad im tin to sa hee.

and it took me hell long before this keyboard to work normally again. i wont be surprised if this happens a few mins later again. =(((

seemed like a few weeks have already past, though it was juz last week i was having fun at rf's hse.
school has been pretty packed with lectures this entire week. theres already plenty of stuffs i feel i need catching up. though i havent been sleeping much during lectures. i wish our immuno prof would juz kindly lose her strong italian accent over night so tt i can understand her language. and i hope for my pharmaco prof can be less monotone and i pray that i can acquire the tcm prof's knowledge and critical thinking skills =) if only i had a sponge like brain then learning would be easier. it has hardened over the years.

internship starting next sat. i hope they dont make us wake up too early.. its sooo farrrr. and it would really be nice if they could add a few more words before our name. and the xs coat is huge on me.

and my very nice senior decided to lend me a textbook for a sem which costs 79.50 at 1st hand =D and i got my 2nd hand book for another sub.

and after a long tiring week, met up with my dears including nat to have dinner. 1st we managed to get a refund for the very belated bday present of soph's. and found her another nice 1 almost immediately after =DD and i still think it was the complaint tt enabled us tt refund ya noe. =)

and right after tt met up with the rest to have yummy dinner @ newyork newyork. and had a great time relaxing. and dear oli, get well soon =)

sometimes not being able to travel overseas is not too bad as long as u have frens travelling overseas. haha cuz ive received many presents frm every1. a pooh candy frm xxpy sally frm nippon, a pair of earrings frm rf dear frm china, disney poker cards frm oli dear frm vagas, AND liquor choc, bag full of choc, a small polar bear (issit polar?), keychain-cow bell thingy (i donnoe how to describe tt), a huge pencil all from nat dear frm switzerland =D

nat has been updating us alot of her uni life.. the super ultra rich lifestyles of her uni mates which sounds so unrealistic. and i guess tts cuz ive never experienced endless amt of money b4 hahaha.

and so today i lug home so many items =)

and finally i completed jeffrey archer's the prodigal daughter, but not with the usual twisted ending.... as usual.

and starting 2mr, i shall continue to mug. gd nitex.

first day of sem2. and my coursemates are already mugging in the resource room. kong bu. and our timetable for week1 is already full blast.

if im learning 医学, then my dad is too. except i shall be facing humans, he faces the computers. haha. stupid system crippled my keyboard a moment ago such tt some alphabets couldn't be typed out.

our tcm texts were up for collection today. i think i'll open a library soon. and still need to purchase 2 more for the other 2 subs. anw xxpy, i'll keep my colourful book safe away frm ur hands haha! jk.

and im only 2/3 thru my novel. =xxx

ok. its only sunday left. theres no time left for ani last minute revision, so i'll juz work doubly hard starting monday.

ended the holiday with a bbq and sleepover @ rf's. a pity oli couldn't stay with us. had lots of fun. i think the others too =D and we eventually had lots of leftover. and we played majong with rf's mini sized majong set. anw, i never won once last nite hahaha. watched 881... either the shows too cheam or its meaningless cuz i dont understand wads the show about. i think i prefer if they get rid of all those special powers and portray the real getai scene. anw, all 4 of us were super bored with the show we switched to marrying the mafia 2. but anw, we all didn't continue the 2nd disc. rf's bed was too nice not to be knock out. haha. we slept very early and woke up very early too. early in the morning, early in the afternoon. some yummy breakfast, another round of majong with me finally winning 1 game lolx and were sent by rf's dad to the mrt. and thx dearss for the present!

back to thursday, kena pulled out by dawn. and i was pretty surprised when she could sing along the 881 hokkien songs when we were in poh kim hahaha.

now tts 2 exams after mid term. and a very heavy 1st 7 weeks of sch.

this holiday im guilty of not touching the guzheng, not revising my work =x

the idea that now is 2008 hasnt really sunken in yet. at least im not tt prepared to be starting school. i shall be soon. for next sem would be even tougher than the last. =x but im kindof looking forward to intern, cuz then it'll seem more realistic to me that im doing tcm.

saw plenty of school-goers today and it suddenly occurred to me its ting's 1st day doing primary 1. shes 7. and i still remember her as the little cutee adorable baby hahaha. now rf & peeps will understand. and this year many of our frens will turn 21. omg. so old.. oops.. i mean so fast haha.

anw, i finally got myself a 2008 organiser and started marking down all the impt dates - bdays, exam dates, holidays, public holidays. and sad to say, theres only 2 public holidays during sem 1 =( and for this yr's national day, theres is no make-up holiday on monday though it falls on a saturday. if not we'll haf 3 days break. but anw holiday on a sat is good news for us too.

hair cut 2mr~ and i need to return my unread library books haha. and find a solution to the stack of books/notes on my table.

i hate wearing specs. im getting a headache again becuz of it.

last yr wasn't too good. i'll make this year better =))) im positive. haha.

had a great time at escape theme park yesterday morning-afternoon with hp sally xy. and now xy's nick says did crazy stuffs with 3 crazy gals lol. i think we haf so far forced her to do lots of stuffs that she never imagined she would hahaha.

we got super wet with 3x water slide, played viking, go kart, family coaster, bumper boat, haunted house. haunted hse was super lame. family coaster was appetiser but xy couldn't take it already. it was hilarious to hear her screaming thruout the ride.. and thru the walk thru haunted hse though there was obviously nothing. and poor hp kena grabbed so tightly by her at the back.. hahaha i wished i could see the view from the front. the go kart was fun! except i think i could haf tumbled out of the car at the slope if i went faster hahaha. then both hp & sally overtook me. water slide was super fun. the 1st 2 times we took we were wet.. but the 3rd time we took there was extra more water that came pouring down on us. tt was super wet! and we managed to force xy into taking the ride with us finally... but not w/o her poncho 1st haha. and i think the bumper boat was super fun too.. super fun to shoot water at each other~

and today's fun was all thx to hp's free tix!! xie xieee!

and we had a short shopping trip after tt... the 3 of us yet again hahaha.
